Don't Buy It

It is that time of year. Summer is approaching and everybody has a fitness program to sell you.


Part of the responsibility of a Personal Trainer or Coach is to try some of these programs and provide feedback. Most programs are too advanced for the masses! Most workouts will leave you exhausted and extremely sore for the next two to three days! This leaves most feeling defeated and unwilling to continue with the program!


I follow the trends and stay on top of what is being offered. I recently tried a program that was so many repetitions it actually created injury within my conditioned body.


Working with a Personal Trainer ensures that you're going to get a workout for your individual body. That means sometimes two sets of strength training is really all you need.


None of these one size fits all programs are building foundations for strong stabilizer muscles and functionality ultimately leaving you with injured joints and open too much bigger problems.

Virtual Training may not be the right option for you, explore your local training facilities, talk to multiple Trainers and Coaches. Remember you are interviewing them! This has to be a good fit, you have to trust your Trainer! Take your time, don't buy the first thing that looks promising or hire the first Trainer that offers you the world. You will know when you've found the right one because they'll include you in your goal setting, they'll empower you to help create your programs and most of all you're going to have fun.
